Richard Norris, one half of acclaimed psych-plunderers Beyond the Wizard’s Sleeve, releases his first full-length solo album as The Time and Space Machine.
There have been four official The Time and Space Machine releases to date, including the mini-lps ‘volume one’ (200 and ‘volume two’ (2009). As you may have gathered from the name, this project is an outlet for Norris’s most flightily cosmic tendencies, anchored with rhythms derived from disco, Krautrock and slo-mo Balearica. “this is the first time I’ve made an album pretty much on my own,” says Norris of the new, self-titled record, released by Tirk. “apart from two days laying down drums with ace beatnik drum-lord Wildcat Will and a couple of vocal sessions, this record was pieced together solo over many months in a room beneath a castle in Lewes, Sussex, England. it’s a different dynamic making a record on your own, and allowed the record to grow in its own particular way. after years collecting, releasing, writing and thinking about psychedelic music, I’ve finally put my formative influences onto a set of tunesâ.

Film Screening & Cocktails, Disco Party, Night Time Debauchery & Warehouse Vibes over 2 Floors
Lasermagnetic, Londonâs long standing Bank Holiday Party specialists are joined by fellow East London promoters The Hackney Players Association and Italo collective Pearl Flash for an Easter Sunday session taking over both floors at CAMP with especially extended opening hours.
Starting in the late afternoon, there will be film screenings, light food and cocktails, followed by night time debauchery and warehouse vibes till 6am. The HPA will be teaming their 1973 Bozak rotary mixer with a state of the art Martin Audio sound system to deliver that extra sweet warm sound. Look out for the film screening, an exclusive music documentary preview about the downtown NYC scene in the late 70s, narrated by Debbie HarryâŚWe have three French artists confirmed, too, so hopefully you can make it down and “Danser avec moi!”.

Johnny Chingas (Lasermagnetic) and DJ Alex (Voices Collective), two of London’s longest standing disco and deep house promoters, join forces with Pearl Flash and Deepfrequency to bring you a New Year’s Eve extravaganza.
The event will be taking place at ‘The East Room’ members bar and Sosho over three floors in Shoreditch (East London). We will bring together iconic and cutting edge artists, careful programming, good sound, a diverse dance floor and crowd on each level, so there’s something in there for everyone. Musically speaking, there will be Cosmic, Afro Funky, Italo, Euro and NYC Disco, Club Classics, Reggae, Rock & Eastern influenced sounds with a good measure of electronic music thrown in.
